Evil
This week's Photo Friday theme was "Evil". This photo was taken in a place where unspeakable evil happened. During our trip to Central Europe last year, we visited Auschwitz, not because it was a place that I wanted to see, but it was a place that I needed to visit. At first, I was hesitant to take any photographs there because it almost felt sacrilegious. But in the end, I did take a few, just so that I would remember what I saw there.
Rockfish
This week's Photo Friday theme is Gross. Rockfish aren't attractive fish and they're not particularly gross -- but they do taste good! There is a certain grossness factor in this picture if you click on the picture for a larger view. Take a close look at the eyeball, if you dare!
Blue Wave
Two years ago, when I woke up the day after the 2004 election, I was certain that somehow we had all been transported to Bizarro World.So, last night as the election results were coming in, I almost forgot how to react when the results turned out the way I had hoped they would!But last night, I slept much better than I did two years ago, and I'm feeling even better this morning!
