Hurricane Disaster Relief

All indications are that this was an incredibly devastating storm in terms of loss of life and property.

Here's a link for donating to the Red Cross.

The New York Times (free registration required) has a list of other relief agencies.

Fly To Work

Hmmm .... Now if I could only squeeze the old Cessna into my garage, remove the overhead electric and telephone wires, and stop the traffic on my street and in front of my office for a couple of minutes in the morning and afternoon, I'd be able to cut my commute from about 40 minutes down to about 10 minutes each way!

Mt. Rainier

Bev and I drove to Mt. Rainier a few weeks ago to see the wildflowers. We weren't disappointed!

Boris the Spider

We've got spiders all over the place this summer. Must have something to do with the unusually nice weather we've been having.

By the way, did I mention that I hate spiders?

Picardo P-Patch

....................... Seattle's Department of Neighborhoods provides community garden space throughout the City. These P-Patches with a total of around 1900 individual plots are available to residents of Seattle. The Picardo Farm P-Patch covers over two acres and has about 280 plots. Bev has a 10 foot by 10 foot plot and this year, she's growing various flowers and several kinds of squash, including this delicious zucchini.

Over the San Juan Islands

A friend took this photo of me one day last summer.

Times Square

No, this isn't Seattle! It's Times Square. Taken during a quick trip to New York last winter.
